2 Home Make-Overs in 2008! Two families - two very different needs . . .
Sevy Family
Provo - Fall 2008
On February 3, 2007, Cam and their youngest son, Jake, went sledding in the fresh snow of the early
morning. As eager and daring as any teenage boy, Jake went down the hill on his back, head-first,
yelling for his dad to give it a try.

Cam, equally matching Jake’s daring with his constant, fun-loving attitude, decided to “go for it”!
About halfway down Cam felt he should look and make sure that he didn't hit the only tree on the hill.
As Cam started to look back he hit the tree head-on. With only a split second warning he was able
to throw his hands up to protect his head.

Cameron severed his spinal cord, shattered several vertebrae, fractured his neck in two places, and
broke several ribs. Cameron Sevy is now paralyzed from the mid chest down.

Friends and family have tried to make changes to the Sevy home to provide wheelchair accessibility
and livable space to accommodate Cameron's circumstances, however, the home falls short of
meeting the needs required on a daily basis.
